256 Bytes is based on the logotype for the MITS Altair 8800: the first commercially successful personal computer. Unusual thick-thin choices are reminiscent of MICR typefaces of the 1960’s such as Data 70 and Westminster. This font includes a license that allows free commercial use: sometimes referred to as a desktop license.
