It’s that time of the year when Adobe releases a major Photoshop CC update. And as usual, that means exciting news. And it doesn’t stop here. More new digital imaging product features will be announced soon.
There is something in this release for everyone: Powerful new photo editing capabilities; performance improvements; major enhancements to popular features, and a lot more.
Highlights of this new Photoshop CC 2015.5 version
Clearly, at least for me, both the Face-aware Liquify and the Content-aware Crop tools are the major stars in this release.
The Face-aware Liquify tool recognizes parts of one or multiple faces in a photo, like eyes or lips, letting you perform subtle changes to it. You can even retouch a face in a video!
The Content-aware crop feature is just a checkbox in the regular Crop tool that allows Photoshop to use Content-Aware technology to fill in the gaps of certain cropping or canvas resizing operations. Awesome!

If you are still using old versions of Photoshop, it’s time to move to the Creative Cloud version. One common mistake is believing that all Adobe CC apps run in the cloud. That’s not true. All apps are installed on your computer. You don’t need to be connected to the Internet to run Photoshop CC unless, of course, you are using file sharing or other cloud features Adobe includes in all plans.
